Telephone Service and Repairs

Introduction

Due to changes in warranty terms with our vendor, IT@CPP will no longer swap out equipment free of charge. Requests for service or repair should be made via an IT@CPP Work Order (see below) for billable items or via an IT Service Desk ticket for non-billable items (see the table below for examples of some common IT Service Desk tickets and IT@CPP Work Order services or repairs). Call X6900 for clarification of billable and non-billable services or repairs or to report voice mail issues.

Info for Logging an IT Service Desk Ticket for Telephone Issues

Issues involving computers, terminals, printers, software or data network should be reported to the IT Service Desk by submitting an IT Service Desk ticket (you will need to know your BroncoName and BroncoPassword). If you cannot log a ticket, use the Help Request Form. Or, you may also stop by the IT Service Desk, located in Building 1, Room 100.


IT Service Desk Regular Business Hours:


Note: IT Service Desk hours may be modified to 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, when classes are not in session during the winter and spring breaks.

IT Service Desk Summer Hours:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Fridays: Closed
  • Exception: Regular Business Hours during the weeks of June 29, 2015 – July 2, 2015 and July 27, 2015 - July 31, 2015


IT@CPP Telephone Work Order Info

All installations, moves, changes or disconnections, including additions or modifications to the campus owned wiring, conduit systems and manholes must be arranged through IT@CPP. Requests must be submitted in writing via an IT@CPP Work Order authorized by the appropriate signature level.

To submit a telecom work order

  1. Go to https://apps.cpp.edu/workorder/ (link opens in a new window).Note: The page is password protected. To access, you will need to enter your BroncoName and BroncoPassword.
  2. Print out the IT@CPP Telecom Work Order form.
  3. Fill out the work order form.
  4. Have it signed by the person in charge of approving departmental funds.
    1. Include his/her title.
  5. Submit the completed form to IT@CPP Operations via one of the following methods:
    • Fax: 909-979-6410 or 909.979.6408.
    • Email: Scan and attach to itservicedesk@cpp.edu.
    • Log an IT Service Desk ticket: Scan and attach to your IT Service Desk ticket.
    • Campus Mail: Address the envelope to Networking & Telecommunications in Bldg. 98-B1-212.


Work orders are normally handled on a "first come, first serve" basis. If you require a specific completion date, alert us at the time you place your order, and every effort will be made to accommodate your schedule.

Only voice equipment ordered through IT@CPP may be connected to the campus system. All telephone equipment remains the property of the University, and as such, may not be removed. Cost for the replacement of damaged or stolen equipment is the responsibility of the department to which it was assigned.

Do not unplug or move any voice terminal; doing so will trigger an alarm in the system.
